OUR TEAM
Our Physiocise Team have outstanding academic ability, finely honed diagnostic skills, excellent teaching ability and a strong commitment to empowering clients to improve their health and wellbeing.
Led by the inimitable Melissa Partington their training continues every day of every week as they participate in seminars, prac meetings, workshops and one on one meetings, all aimed at cultivating a team that is at the cutting edge of professional evidence based practice.
An indication of the value Physiocise places on our team is that we have minimal staff turnover. Many of our staff have been with us between 10 and 20 years and thrive in an environment that supports and values their roles not only as physiotherapists but as mothers, wives and community members.
OUR OWNER AND CEO
Melissa Partington, joined Anna-Louise soon after the practice inception in 1995 and has a vast experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of long term postural dysfunction and pain pathologies. In 2010 she bought the practice and has continued to grow and develop the practices with great success.
Most recently she has transitioned the practice as it moves to Online delivery if classes and telehealth making it one of the market leaders in this area.
She is a brilliant organiser, motivator and leader and has the strongest commitment to maintaining the exceptional standards of our service delivery both internally and externally.
OUR FOUNDER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Anna-Louise Bouvier was at the forefront of the use of exercise as medicine when she created Physiocise in 1995. Starting with one class a week at the Cammeray Golf Course the practice has now grown to over 120 classes a week and continues to expand especially now into the online world. Her skill is in making complex science and medicine accessible, relatable and enjoyable and the success and longevity of Physiocise is testament to that ability.
Anna-Louise sold the practice to Melissa in 2010 but remains heavily involved in the behind the scenes staff and business development including educational materials, videos, books and online tools. In 2015 she created the multi award winning corporate Happy Body At Work wellbeing program, an innovative joint venture with the ABC, and now consults extensively in the development of health tech solutions. She is also an Adjunct Fellow of Macquarie University School of Medicine and Allied Health.
A combination of media, consulting, tech development and content creation commitments take up much of her working life now but Physiocise remains Anna-Louise's first great love, and she still devotes a great deal of time and energy to the evolution of the program.
OUR CLIENT CARE SUPPORT TEAM
Part of the secret to Physiocise has been the infrastructure which supports it. A great deal of planning goes into making the smooth transition from class to class, term to term, appointment to appointment.
From changing classes or making appointments to booking and paying and inquiring about our products our wonderful client care and support team are always there to help make your experience with us as smooth as possible.
OUR FINANCE DIRECTOR
The smooth financial running of our organisation is ensured by Karen Toker. As an accountant, a lawyer and a small business expert she brings a wealth of experience to the practice. We at Physiocise feel very strongly about delivering the highest quality professional service to our clients and part of the strength of this is the intrinsic stability of the practice both inside and out.
Karen first met Anna-Louise almost 30 years ago when they had their first children at mothers group. She has three beautiful boys.
